	The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Lifeline Multispeciality Hospital includes some of the region's most experienced heart surgeons. Members of the Division perform close to 300 open-heart procedures a year, as well as a host of related procedures to treat conditions of the heart, lungs, aorta and carotid artery. In addition to traditional coronary artery bypass grafting, Lifeline Multispeciality Hospital surgeons are highly trained in heart valve surgery (including valve repair and minimally invasive mitral valve and aortic valve replacement), OPCAB (beating-heart coronary bypass and MIDCAB). Division members also are highly experienced in endovascular vein harvesting for bypass surgery to help reduce complications and speed healing in the legs. Division members also have expertise in vascular surgery to treat aneurysm and arterial occlusive disease of the thoracic and abdominal aorta, carotid artery and peripheral vessels. They are trained in endovascular stent repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, as well as insertion of pacers and defibrillators. Additionally, our surgeons employ advanced minimally invasive and video-assisted techniques to treat lung cancer and esophageal disease. These advanced surgical capabilities are part of the comprehensive diagnostic and treatment program offered through Lifeline Cardiovascular Institute located at the Hospital. Physicians within the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery work closely with cardiologists, primary care physicians and other specialists to develop an appropriate treatment plan for each patient. The department has its own ICU, OR, Anesthesia Team, Perfusionist Technology Team and Intensivists, advanced post operative surgical ICU and step down ward and two operation theaters with state of art equipment. In fact, Lifeline CTVS not only involves itself in performing cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgeries, but also renders regular technical and specialty support to the trauma unit, cardiology unit, transplant unit, and pulmonology unit within the hospital.
