VITAL ORGAN - THE SPINE

Your spine is one of the most important bones you have in your body. Your backbone is what carries you when you walk and what supports your body. Taking good care of it is a lifelong project and should be treated with extreme care so it'll last forever.

Two common pains which arise from spines are low back pain and neck pain. Both are as common as headache and common cold. Most of us develop back and neck pain, some point of time in our life. Before the advent of computer, TV age, we developed these only after 40 years, due to wear and tear. But, thanks to computers; now-a-days, we develop these even in our twenties.

Many suffers of back and neck pain, treat this condition with the same respect, as common cold without realizing that this can prove to be crippling. They don’t consult a doctor unless the pain becomes severe and affect their daily activities. Most back and neck pain arise due to our stretching of ligaments owing to faulty sitting or standing posture.

Other common cause is, driving on the road full of pits and holes, driving vehicles with poor shock absorbers.

We can prevent the neck and back pain by adopting a few healthy habits, which will keep our spine strong and flexible.

In the 3 part article, we shall bring you details on care of spine in the next issue.
