CLAWS OF DEATH - Treacherous CANCER
![]() To know that you have a cancerous growth would send a chill down your spine a decade ago, not anymore. With advancement in the technology the Cancer is very easily tackled and curbed. Even today at times, it can be challenging and difficult to treat it due to the position or the size of the growth. Motilal Debanath aged 65, who hails from Bangladesh, had a cancerous growth in his Bile duct, the result of which he suffered from excruciating pain and jaundice which hampered his daily activity. He was turned down by many Oncologists as the tumor was compressing one or more main arteries and removal of the tumor may lead to other complications and the surgery required was very demanding. Debanath consulted Dr J S Rajkumar at Zoom Health Care Center at Calcutta, who promised to operate upon him and put him back on the road of recovery. The cancer was successfully removed. Though the biopsy indicated advanced cancer it was worthwhile operating upon him to give good palliation from his symptoms and a definite extension of life. One day a man came home from work to find total chaos in the house. The kids were laying outside in the mud, still in their pajamas, and empty food boxes were on the kitchen counter.
When he opened the door, he found an even bigger mess: dishes on the counter, dog food spilled on the floor, a broken glass under the table and a pile of sand by the back door. The family room was strewn with toys, and a lamp had been knocked over. He headed up the stairs, stepping over toys, to look for his wife. He was becoming worried that she might be ill or that something terrible had happened to her. He found her in the bedroom still in bed with her pajamas on, reading a book. She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day had gone. He looked at her, bewildered, and asked, "What happened here today?" She again smiled and answered, "You know, every day, you come home from work and ask me what I did today." "Yes" was his reply. She answered, "Well, today, I didn't do what I usually do, to let you what I do!" |
