FOR YOUR HEALTH - GREAT COMBOS

Glycemic Index of a food gives us an indication to the speed with which the sugar is released from the food.

Lower the Glycemic Index of the food, the slower the sugar is released, keeping us hunger free and minimizing our craving for food.

We can also delay the release of sugar from the High Glycemic Index food by eating a little protein and some fat( good fat) along with these food.

For instance, a little cheese with bread is better than just bread. So is eating potato with some channa or palak instead of just steamed or baked potato.

Thus combining food sensibly will remove our craving for more food in hours ahead, thus reducing the total calorie intake in a day at the same time without missing out on our favorite high gylcemic index food.
