ASK OUR CONSULTANT- A COIN HAS TWO SIDES

My friend took his mother for a master health check on 20th February, 2010. She was quite healthy (No BP, No sugar or No weakness).

After a few hours, it was informed that her heart condition was critical and likely to get a heart-attack and she required immediate intervention.

My friend was confused and he accepted the same.

It was informed that she was unconscious and her condition unstable. In the evening, around 4.30 pm, she was declared dead.

It was a real shock to my friends and his family.

The highlight was that they her body as a cotton bundle.

As all her parts were removed...As My friend and his family were in deep shock and pain they didn't question them.

These are snippets from the mail being circulated to create awareness about the hospital and a copy of it was sent to the editor by Sri Ganesh.

What actually happened? From the cardiology Department.

The patient Geeta, aged 52, was brought to Lifeline hospital for a master health check. Treadmill test indicated a positive result with changes in ECG pattern, which meant that she had a major blockage in her main artery. She was immediately rushed for an angiogram followed by an angioplasty and a stent was fixed, but her Blood Pressure kept falling and she could not be rescued. This is a typical case of asymptomatic critical blockage. She suffered from a condition called the Left coronary artery main disease (LMD). It was unfortunate that Geeta did not respond to the treatment, but everything that was required to help her condition was done systematically. With regards to the allegation of removal of organ from Geetha's body.

Harvesting of organs is an expensive process and it is of very little use, unless the hospital has the organ transplant facility. This facility is not available at Lifeline Hospital; moreover there are many legal and statutory obligations to be fulfilled before removal of organs. Legal action is being instituted for defamation against the cyber offenders who unscrupulously try to pull down the reputation of institutions.
