 At the age of 37, when life was set like a dream for Ravi Bommana, with booming real estate business and loving family.
Fate had a cruel twist. In May 2001, Ravi’s car met with a fatal accident while he was returning from Bangalore. His back was injured very badly. To set his back right and put him back on his feet he was administered steroids which made Ravi gain weight and within few months his weight was a whooping 157 kgs.
This confined Ravi to his room. He stopped interacting with the outside world, barely meeting even the family members. He even attempted to end his life.
In the year 2007, He saw Dr J S Raj kumar performing and explaining about the bariatric surgery in a television programme. Ravi immediately contacted the Lifeline Hospital and underwent the Bariatric surgery in July 2007.
Today he has lost 83kgs and weighs 74kgs making it difficult for the hospital staff as well as the Doctors to identify him.
A true transformation not just in terms of his weight loss or improvement in his health and appearance! But as a person he is more Cheerful and goes around telling everyone who are morbidly obese that when I could do it! You too can!
