How best can you manage anginal pain?
Rajalakshmi;
When we perform a strenuous physical activity there is an increased demand for oxygen by the heart muscle. If the blood vessel that supply blood to the heart are narrowed from atherosclerosis, the blood supply is limited and the oxygen demand cannot be met .This results in chest discomfort, called angina. Angina is the pain or tightness in chest, but can also be experienced in the arm, shoulder or jaw. This pain may be accompanied by shortness of breath, sweating, nausea and palpitations. Though it can be managed with drugs. Adopting a healthy eating and regular exercise as per the advice of your doctor will serve as a permanent solution, as angina is due to clogged arteries.
