Claws of Death - Misconception and wrong Inference
Ms.Matilda who was almost in the claws of Death Many a time we hear this remark 'I know my body best and there is nothing wrong with me', from a person, who is recommended to go for a routine medical check up. Sometimes this reasoning may seem outwardly logical, but the lack of understanding of the human anatomy can mislead and make one draw wrong inferences. Ms. Matilda aged 50 working in the Finance Department in the Secretariat had undergone hysterectomy (Uterus removal) nearly a decade ago, so she presumed that she would be free from all gynecological troubles. When her abdomen started getting bigger, bloated and also painful, she blamed it on gas formation owing to her poor eating habits. Finally a month ago, she fainted at her work place and was rushed by an ambulance to the hospital .The clinical tests performed including the CT Scan revealed that she had a big cyst in her ovary the size comparable to a 26 week pregnancy, it was also Malignant ( Cancerous). A surgery was planned the following day for removing the cyst."A few hours before the scheduled surgery time things got worse and the cyst had burst open and an emergency surgery was performed to remove the cyst ", declares Matilda, recalling her traumatic experience. After four hours of desperate resuscitation in the ICU, a major surgery in which the tumorous cyst was removed and after several bottles of blood, she zoomed back to normal as is now planning to have her chemotherapy at the Kilpauk, Lifeline. It is often considered an ordeal to clean the floor where oil or ink is spilt. I wonder what a plight it should be for the surgeon performing the emergency surgery cleaning and drawing out the cancerous tissues that had burst within?!?! Matilda promised to take care of her health better, confessing that her hysterectomy was an emergency surgical procedure too. What's the greatest worldwide use of cowhide? Click Here
