ACT OF KINDNESS - UNIMAGINABLE APPEAL

What would your reaction be, if your father or mother suggested that they want to put an end to your life, though you know that you are the apple of their eye???

One of extreme shock and disbelief ???

If they go a step further, seeking legal permission for the same. Wouldn't you feel devastated?

Indeed that is exactly what happened to Suriya Prabakaran who suffered from Glanzmann's disease, a rare disease which affects one in a million, which is characterized by an inability of the blood to clot. So he required frequent blood transfusion that his father who worked as a carpenter could not afford. HIS FATHER SOUGHT EUTHANASIA AND MADE AN APPEAL IN THE COURT.

After reading this in the paper, Dr. J.S. Rajkumar called Suriya Prabakaran's family, offered to treat the boy and subsequently performed this surgery and further treatment, free of charge which would have otherwise incurred an expense of 3.25lakhs. Meanwhile, JK Cement and Rotary Club also offered to educate him and support him. Ironically, about an year after the surgery the hospital received a call from Suriya informing that his father, who had filed an appeal for euthanasia, had himself expired. But he is surging forth doing the role of family head, which comprises of his step mother and a younger sister.

There is nothing better than doing your might for others!!!

Joke

Jim and Mary were both patients in a Mental Hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Jim suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom and stayed there. Mary promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled Jim out.

When the medical director became aware of Mary's heroic act he immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital as he now considered her to be mentally stable. When he went to tell Mary the news he said, "Mary, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged because since you were able to jump in and save the life of another patient, I think you've regained your senses. The bad news is Jim, the patient you saved, hung himself with his bathrobe belt in the bathroom. I am so sorry, but he's dead."

Mary replied, "He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry."
